My Thoughts:
I have to say I wasn't expecting too much from this movie, why? because it feels like the cinema is being monopolised by the "Marvel Machine" and when I first heard that they were releasing Ant-Man my only though was - really?!

never-have-i-been-so-wrong

Well, I certainly was surprised, this is a great movie! It has everything you want; plenty of action, an easy story to follow, a hero with an emotional motive and a bit of gentle comedy. Paul Rudd's portrayal of Scott Lang was excellent, he was quick witted and a likeable lead and Evangeline Lilly (my new favourite actress since The Hobbit) did a great job as the strong, confident female lead. The storyline was easy to follow with a nod to other films within the Marvel franchise (the Avenger's of course) and was emotive enough to be believable. The comedy of the movie kept a good balance with the action and the scene's where Luis (Michael Peña) explains how he gathers his information are hilarious!
This is a great film whether you're a group of teenagers, a couple or a full family so get yourselves down to your local cinema and give it a watch! Oh, don't forget  to hang around till the very end of the credits for a sneak peak at Avenger's Civil War.

7.5/8

  1. I saw a behind the scenes special on Sky movies and at first I thought it was weird, but the special effects look so cool and it took them 2 years to finish this movie, which says a lot!I am really looking forward to watching this :)

  3. Agreed! I wasn't expecting too much from this movie, since I'm not a huge "superhero" fan. All in all I really liked it, and I'm happy I went to go see it!
